April in Paris

This was a fun project to do because each little character is actually a person in the family of the people who asked me to do the card. You might notice that there are also the 4 seasons represented to drive home the idea of good wishes throughout the year. Tried to keep it light and airy. 

In reality for the final work I did this: The drawing above is printed on transparent film (like you use for the overhead projector). I attached it to a black piece of paper. You can’t see a thing! But, here come the fun part. I printed out a little drawing of a sparkler/wand/torch that has a white background and you slip it in between the film and the black to see the picture. I will take a photo soon and put it up on the site. It looks like you are lighting the picture up with the little wand. Very simple and fun to do.
